Dr. Patricia Briggs grew up in Edmonton and was equestrian riding at a very young age. That is where she met a veterinarian and did volunteer work with him. She knew at that point knew her love for animals and being a veterinarian was what she wanted to be. Dr. Briggs attended the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan where she graduated as a DVM in 1997. After graduation Dr. Briggs yearned for the warmer climate of Vancouver Island. That is where she met her husband Russ and they married in Edmonton in 2001. Dr. Briggs made the move to Coquitlam and took over the Austin Animal Hospital from Dr. Gutteridge (retired). When the opportunity arose for hers and Dr. Paunovic’s clinics to merge, she saw this as fantastic way for her to continue practicing and serving a broader range of clients. Dr. Briggs move to Coquitlam was an easy one, as the area offers opportunity for her to continue her love for riding, golf, swimming and long walks with her dogs Farley and Olive within the Tri-Cities.
